The Bouvier des Flandres Breed Health Questionnaire
The Kennel Club and the Bouvier des Flandres Club of Great Britain are keen to know of any health problems and/or illnesses from which your current or previous Bouvier/s are suffering or have suffered and about any treatment whether completed or ongoing.
The Kennel Club asked breed clubs to nominate a Breed Health Coordinator to collate any information relating to the health of their breed. The Breed Health Coordinator for Bouviers is Mr Andrew Hall.
By identifying any ongoing or prevalent problems in our breed, we hope to be able to act to prevent these becoming commonplace by instigating interest and research into those conditions.
Below you will find a short questionnaire which we would like you to complete.
Your name and address, if given, will be treated in the STRICTEST CONFIDENCE.
We may share health information (not personal information) with other established Bouvier clubs worldwide as well as health organisations (Kennel Club, Animal Health Trust etc).
By doing this will work together to eradicate and control health issues that affect our Bouviers.
You do not have to be a member of any breed club to help with this as we need information from everyone with a Bouvier (as long as it is owned within the UK), whether he/she is a family pet, or a show/working dog.
Giving your personal details and the registered name of your dog, and his/her breeding details is optional – you can give their pet name if you prefer. However, the more information you give, the better informed we will be. It is important that you give your permission to your Vet for him/her to discuss any health problems with the Club that your dog may have suffered should he/she need to be contacted.
